Hudson Kapel Remarketing (HKR) is one of the UK's leading online vehicle auction platforms for re-marketing nearly new, damaged and salvaged vehicles through weekly sales.
When looking to enhance their digital offering, they partnered with Studio Graphene to develop a mobile app for iOS and Android, extending their auction services to mobile users to overcome the limitations of their web-only platform. Additionally, HKR sought to improve the website’s user experience, making it more user-friendly in order to attract more visitors and increase vehicle sales.
We also further developed our knowledge of automotive industry standards to understand their user base as well as their specific business operations, which was done through close collaboration with HKR, laying a solid foundation for the project.
Studio Graphene began by aligning HKR’s B2B business requirements by mapping existing operations, prioritising KPIs for customer satisfaction and scoping essential features to enhance operational efficiency.
Our design team structured the app's functionalities for simplicity and ease of use, creating initial user flow designs and wireframes as blueprints. The aim was to ensure a quick and seamless process, from vehicle description to bidding, buying and facilitating payment and purchase documentation. Through iterative refinement, we developed high-fidelity UI designs that aligned with HKR's brand identity, integrating modern UX standards, consistent colour schemes, typography and logo placement to enhance brand recognition and ensure intuitive navigation and engaging interactions throughout the app.
