59club is a leading consultancy and performance measurement provider for the global golf and leisure sector. Their platform helps clubs, resorts and hospitality venues collect member and guest feedback, benchmark performance against industry averages and improve service standards with expert guidance.
To modernise this offering, 59club partnered with Studio Graphene to rebuild their Surveys platform, a core product used by venues worldwide. The existing system suffered from slow performance, outdated UI and unintuitive workflows that limited adoption and placed pressure on support teams. A complete redesign was required to improve usability, reliability and scalability.

Our design team redefined the platform’s visual language and user experience from the ground up.
Studio Graphene began with a discovery phase to understand the existing architecture, user journeys and technical constraints. Workshops with 59club staff and venue managers highlighted the main issues: ageing design, difficult survey creation flows and severe loading delays caused by rolling surveys with years of accumulated responses.
To determine the remaining work for launch, we focused on the core user journeys from which we created detailed user stories. This was pivotal in delineating the project scope and forming an effective development plan. Concurrently, our design team conducted a comprehensive UX and UI review, advising on key changes to enhance Nudj’s visual appeal, functionality and intuitiveness.

Working with 59club’s in-house designer, we introduced a modern dashboard-led interface focused on clarity and ease of use. Survey creation was reorganised into a clear sequence - design, questions, distribution and results - making a previously confusing process simple and intuitive. Venue attributes were added to allow clubs to benchmark themselves only against comparable venues, improving accuracy and insight.

Information architecture and data presentation were prioritised, replacing long, text heavy tables with visual charts that show trends, averages and gaps at a glance. Clearer core actions support venue managers, while role based access and streamlined admin views reduce complexity for 59club staff.

On the technical side, the platform was rebuilt using Next.js and React, delivering a faster and more scalable foundation. A significant part of the development effort focused on data migration, ensuring millions of historic responses and thousands of pre-existing QR codes continued working seamlessly. To overcome performance issues, we optimised data loading, implemented pre-fetching on key screens and compartmentalised heavy datasets to reduce load times.
Delivered end to end - from discovery and UX to build, QA and UAT - the project followed an iterative process with regular feedback loops. The platform is now in final testing with launch set for 1 January.

The new 59club Surveys platform delivers a modern, intuitive and much faster experience for both venue managers and internal staff. Performance issues that previously caused crashes and slow loading have been resolved while improved navigation and visual dashboards make it far easier for venues to understand their results and benchmark themselves effectively.
With streamlined survey creation, clearer insights and a future ready technical foundation, 59club can now offer a significantly enhanced product to its global client base. The rebuilt platform not only improves day to day usability but also positions the Surveys product for long term growth, higher adoption and greater operational efficiency.
